- Change the pot that the Suggestion was added to (e.g. there's a more appropriate pot for the Suggestion)
- Change the Suggestion Status (e.g. set it to "To be discussed" to enable voting for that suggestion)
- Change the Outcome Status (e.g. set it to "Approved" if the suggestion has been approved by the board)
- Write the Suggestion Outcome which will be shown as reason/action in the Suggestions List block
# Suggestion feedback
When a user votes for a Suggestion, a Suggestion Feedback item is automatically generated in the back-end of the site that records the vote. To see the votes for a Suggestion:
- Click the Suggestion Pots tab (highlighted below)
- Click the Feedback sub-tab (highlighted below)
- Review each vote (Feedback column) for that Suggestion (Suggestion column)
# Suggestion workflow example
The following steps describe a workflow where a Suggestion is suggested, then set to open for voting and then finally accepted by the board with a reason/action.
- An SBGL employee clicks on a Suggestion Pot (e.g Working Efficiencies) and submits a suggestion via the form inside the lightbox
- The suggestion is saved automatically in the back-end of the site
- A site administrator clicks to edit the Suggestion in the back-end of the site, and:
- Updates the content of the suggestion (optional)
- Changes the Suggestion Status to To be discussed to enable voting for that suggestion
- Publishes the Suggestion (see more about publishing a page here)
- SBGL employees vote for that Suggestion using the Suggestions List block in the front-end of the site
- A site administrator reviews the feedback for that Suggestion and decides to bring that suggestion to the board for discussion
- Once the board has discussed that suggestion and came up with a reason/action, the site administrator edits that Suggestion in the back-end of the site, and:
- Writes the Suggestion Outcome content (reason/action)
- Changes the Outcome Status to Approved
- Saves the changes by clicking on Update
- The Suggestion is automatically moved to the Suggestion List block for outcomes and the SBGL employees can now see that the Suggestion has been approved and may read the content of the outcome.
